- זֵיוְתָןm. (fr. זִיוָה, fem. form of זִיו, formed like גֵּיוְתָן) bright, distinguished, noble. Pl. יֵוְתָנִין, constr. זֵיוְתָנֵי. R. Hash. 11a (play on זִו, 1 Kings 6:1) שבו נבראו ז׳ עולם for in that month were created the nobles of the world (the patriarchs).
